The New/Edit Appointment Entry dialog box is used to input a new appointment or modify an existing one. New alarm, birthday, call, or any scheduled event entries can be added or edited using this dialog box.
To add an appointment:

In Calendar view, you can also create an appointment by selecting a block of time, right-clicking, and then clicking New Appointment or New Recurring Appointment on the shortcut menu.
The following table will explain the details of fields.
Field Description Table
| Field | Description |
| Subject | Sets the name or brief description for the appointment (up to 255 characters). |
| Location | Allows you to input a room number or specific office location (for example, Building 1 Room 1 or Suite 123) for the appointment. |
| Label | Allows you to apply a color-coded label to this appointment so you can tell at a glance what kind of appointment it is. |
| Start time | Sets the start date and time of the appointment. |
| End time | Sets the end date and time of the appointment. |
| All day event | Makes the appointment an event that lasts for one dayor more. |
| Reminder | Sets a reminder for the appointment. |
| Reminder before | Sets the amount of time prior to the appointment to display the reminder. |
| Show time as | Displays the time status for the item as free, busy, tentative, or out of office when others view your schedule. |
| Body | This area allows freeform text to be associated with the appointment. |
| To do list | An appointment can include multiple to-do items in To do list. |
| Resource | The resource associated with the appointment. For detailed information about resource settings, please refer to Resources. |
| Contacts | The contact names associated with the appointment. |
| Categories | This button allows you to select categories for the appointment. You can also input categories manually. |
| Private | Sets the appointment as private. |
