eReminder Database Manager

eReminder Database Manager allows you to perform regular housekeeping chores on your database.

Compress As you add/delete information to your eReminder database it will continously grow. Compressing the selected database on a regular basis will reduce its size allowing the program to operate at peak performance. Select the database you want to compress, click the Compress button in the tool bar, or select File Compress from the menu, the Database Manager will then compress the selected database.
Backup Back up the selected database file to a specified location. It's a good practice to backup database periodically. Click the Backup button, or select File, Backup from the menu . In the pop-up dialog, specify the source file to backup, the destination file, then choose OK to backup.
Restore Database Restore database file from your backup copy. Click the Restore Database button , or select File, Restore Database from the menu. In the pop-up dialog, specify the source file (the location you selected when you backed it up), then choose OK to restore.

Note: Restore database will delete the currently selected database file, and replace it with the old backup copy.

How to create an auto-backup reminder

  1. Create an appointment or task and enter Backup Database as title.
  2. To backup database weekly, specify the recurring pattern of the appointment/task as weekly.;
  3. To auto-start the Database Manager application, specify a reminder for the appointment/task. In the reminder dialog, Check Execute appointment. In the field Execute, enter the path of Database Manager application , for example, C:\Program Files\eTimeInc\eReminder 2008\Bin\eDatabaseManager.exe, click Ok to save.
