Easy Tracker TopBar

Easy Tracker TopBar is a Windows® based software, it locates on the top of desktop by default, and provides great convenience to manage Easy Tracker Applications. The left part shows the current tracking status, and the right part provides several buttons to control the tracking. Move the mouse over any button, a popup hint will give some help information about the button.

TopBar has three statuses: Idle, Tracking, Interrupted. The following table illustrates the details.

TopBar Status Description

TopBar	Description
	TopBar in Idle status. When no activity is tracked, information section will show current time.
	TopBar in Tracking status. When you track an activity, the information section will show its information and how long it has been taken.
	TopBar in Interrupted status. When you get a break in current work, the information section will show what activity has been broken, how long the break lasted.

The following table illustrates the function of these buttons.

Show Easy Tracker Lite	If Easy Tracker Lite has been running, this function will popup Easy Tracker Lite directly, otherwise it will start to run Easy Tracker Lite application. After Easy Tracker Lite has pop up, the information section will show the current tracking information. If you have locked TopBar, you need re-login. Keyboard shortcut: Win-C
Start tracking	Start tracking the selected activity and show Easy Tracker Lite. If current tracking status is in interrupt, then resume to track the activity broken. If you have locked TopBar, you need re-login firstly. Keyboard shortcut: Win-P
Start an interrupt	Show Easy Tracker Lite, and pop up an dialog of Input an Interrupt. After you input the necessary information and click OK, the interrupt will be recorded. If you have locked TopBar, you need re-login firstly. Keyboard shortcut: Win-I
Stop tracking	Stop tracking of any activity and show Easy Tracker Lite. After that, the tracking status will become idle. If you have locked TopBar, you need re-login firstly. Keyboard shortcut: Win-S

When you right-click the button in TopBar, a menu will pop up, and there has more actions. When you move the mouse to the system tray bar, right-click the tray icon of Easy Tracker, the same menu will pop up. The following table illustrates the function of these actions.

Easy Tracker Lite...	This action has the same function as the button of Show Easy Tracker Lite.
Database Manager...	Start to run Easy Tracker Database Manager.
Lock	Lock TopBar. After locked, TopBar will show information: Please Login In. If you want to change the status of tracking, or just show Easy Tracker Lite, you need re-login then. After login Easy Tracker Lite, you need not login in next time, which provides great convenience to use Easy Tracker Lite for you. But this convenience may also bring some trouble. For example, when you leave your computer for a while and do not want to shut down Easy Tracker Lite, others can use your Easy Tracker Lite without your permission, which may not be your expectation. In such conditions, you can use the Lock function to lock TopBar to prevent others' operation. Keyboard shortcut: Win-L
Hide/Show	Hide TopBar. To show TopBar, move the mouse to the tray icon of Easy Tracker, right click to pop up a menu, select the option of Refresh or Show, then TopBar will show again.
Refresh	If TopBar is not painted correctly, you can use this action to refresh the display of TopBar.
No Notification	When this option is checked, no notification will be popped up. After you uncheck this option, all notification missed will be popped up.
Configuration...	Show the dialog of Configuration.
Register...	Start to run Easy Tracker Register to register this software.
The following actions are available only for Easy Tracker Professional / Easy Tracker Enterprise
Punch Clock...	Start to run Easy Tracker Punch Clock.
Easy Tracker Pro...	Start to run Easy Tracker Pro.
Report...	Start to run Easy Tracker Report.

Best Practices

Start Easy Tracker TopBar, then start Easy Tracker Lite, you can use TopBar to control task tracking.
