Synchronize Projects/Jobs

Easy Tracker QuickBooks Integration provides an easy way to synchronize jobs in QuickBooks and projects in Easy Tracker.

Note:

bulletThis feature is not supported in QuickBooks Online Edition.
bulletA project will not be displayed until its client has been synchronized to QuickBooks. To learn how to synchronize clients, please click here.
bulletA project without a client will not be displayed in Projects view. To display, you need assign a client to the project in Easy Tracker Pro.
bulletIf a client is not synchronized to QuickBooks, then its project information will not be displayed in Projects view.
bulletSynchronize project categories to QuickBooks firstly. If a project category is not synchronized to QuickBooks, then synchronizing projects in the project category will fail, and in the log view, some error information may show: "There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Job Type "XXX" in the Customers. QuickBooks error message: Invalid argument. The specified record does not exist in the list." If a project without assigning project category, there will no problem when synchronizing.

bulletFirstly, synchronize Clients, Project Categories information.
bulletAt last, synchronize Projects information.

To synchronize Projects in Easy Tracker to Jobs in QuickBooks

  1. Start QuickBooks
  2. Start Easy Tracker Pro
  3. From the Tools menu, choose QuickBooks Integration
  4. Switch to Projects view
  5. Select entries. To select multiple entries, hold down the ctrl or shift keys to select. To select all entries, use Ctrl + A.
  6. From the File menu, choose Synchronize, or click the button Synchronize in the toolbar.

To synchronize Jobs in QuickBooks to Projects in Easy Tracker

  1. Start QuickBooks
  2. Start Easy Tracker Pro
  3. From the Tools menu, choose QuickBooks Integration
  4. Switch to Jobs view
  5. Select entries. To select multiple entries, hold down the ctrl or shift keys to select. To select all entries, use Ctrl + A.
  6. From the File menu, choose Synchronize, or click the button Synchronize in the toolbar.

How to use this view:

In the tool bar, you use the button Synchronize to synchronize selected entries. In the table part, you can select any entry, and right-click to popup menu, then choose Synchronize option to synchronize it to another application.
