Easy Tracker Project Integration provides an easy way to share data between Microsoft Project and Easy Tracker, and offers a simple wizard to guide you step by step through the process of integrating with Microsoft Project or Microsoft Project Server.
Easy Tracker Project Integration provides two modes:
Integrate with Microsoft Project MPP file. Microsoft Project Integrate Wizard guides you to integrate project and task assignments created in Microsoft Project files. When an integration is created in Easy Tracker Pro, users can then use Easy Tracker Lite and Punch Clock for timesheet entry.
Integrate with Microsoft Project Server. Project Server Integration Wizard guides you to integrate project and task assignments saved in Microsoft Project Server. When an integration is created in Easy Tracker Pro, users can then use Easy Tracker Lite and Punch Clock to track timesheet entry. After the users submit their timesheets, his/her leader can synchronize the time back to Microsoft Project which updates the actual hours worked in Microsoft Project Server. |
If you want to use Microsoft Project Integration, Microsoft Project 2000 or greater must be installed on your machine.
You cannot use together the Microsoft Project Integration and the Microsoft Project Server Integration on the same Easy Tracker database. Only one of these can be used.
If you have already used the Microsoft Project Integration and you wish to use the Microsoft Project Server Integration, please first use Easy Tracker Database Manager to create a new database for Microsoft Project Server Integration.
In Microsoft Project, Task Category level assignments are not supported for time tracking. Users will only be able to track time against the task level setup in Microsoft Project.
Resource does not have Last Name, it will not be synchronized. In Project Server database all resources must have two names, e.g. Jack Robert. |
