Time Sheet

In Time Sheet view, you can add time entries in batches. It is useful especially  when you forget to add time entries several days ago. 

When you select one or more cells, Details tab will show the details, Description tab will show the project description and the task description, while Custom Fields tab will show measurement items if you have.

There are several views to show time entries.

  1. Sum a Week By Day. The data in a cell indicates the total work hours you have spent on a project and a task in a day. This view shows time entries in one week. 
  2. Sum a Month By Day. The data in a cell indicates the total work hours you have spent on a project and a task in a day. This view shows time entries in one month.
  3. Sum a Season By Week. The data in a cell indicates the total work hours you have spent on a project and a task in a week. This view shows time entries in one season.
  4. Sum a Year By Month. The data in a cell indicates the total work hours you have spent on a project and a task in a month. This view shows time entries in one year.

Sum a Week By Day view provides to edit cell data, and other views can edit rates information.

NOTE: Only time entries not submitted or rejected can be edited. 

To change the start date of the grid, click the Start Date in the top tool bar, select a new date.

Details Tab

This tab shows all detailed time entries of the selected cell. In Rates section, you can edit rate information of time entries listed below. After change the rate fields, you can use Apply action to apply the modification to the select time entry, or you can use Apply to All action to apply the modification to all time entries listed below.

Task Progress section displays the status of the current project & task. 

How to add a new project&task

Firstly, switch to the Sum a Week By Day view, right click the grid to pop up a menu, then choose the action of Add Project&Task. To learn how to add a new project&task, please refer to Add Project&Task.

How to delete a project&task

Firstly, switch to the Sum a Week By Day view, select the project&task you want to delete, then right-click the grid, in the popup menu, choose the action of Delete Project&Task. All time entries of the select project&task will be deleted.

Edit time entries

To quickly enter time, you can use the actions of Cut, Copy and Paste. Firstly, select one or more cells, then use the Cut or Copy to copy the data into clipboard, move the first cell to paste, right-click and select Paste.

If the total time of time entries in a day is bigger than 24 hours, Time Sheet will warn you, and refuse you to enter bigger value in cells of the day. 

If the new value entered is bigger than the old value, firstly Time Sheet will try to find a time entry to hold the time difference, if failed, then Time Sheet will try to add a new time entry before or after all time entries in the day, if failed, Time Sheet warn you, and refuse to add the new value.

If the new value entered is less than the old value, Time Sheet will try to delete or adjust time entries in the day, until the summary of the left time entries in the day is equal to the new value.

How to use this view: 

In the main tool bar, you can use the actions of Prior Span, Next Span to navigate different date range, and use Refresh action to refresh showing data. In the tool bar, you can enter the start date, which determines the time entries to show. In the grid, you can add or edit any time entry (Only in the view of Sum a Week By Day, you can edit the data in a cell). By right clicking of the grid, a popup menu will show up, which provides several convenient ways to edit a cell.

Click the cell to edit, press ESC to cancel edit.
