If an assignment or a task is not recurring, the reminder will happen just one time in the specified reminder time. If an assignment or task is recurring, the reminder will happen periodically in the specified time according to the pattern you specified in the recurrence.
In My Assignments view, you can add and edit reminder and recurrence pattern of an assignment.
