Tracker Leader Project Integration

Tracker Leader Project Integration provides an easy way to share data between Microsoft Project and Tracker Leader, and offers a simple wizard to guide you step by step through the process of integrating with Microsoft Project or Microsoft Project Server.

First run Tracker Leader Pro, choose Tools, Microsoft Project Integrate Wizard.

Tracker Leader Project Integration provides two modes: Integrate with Microsoft Project MPP file.

Integrate with Microsoft Project Server.

Integrate with the resource pool file and project file.

1) Synchronize with Microsoft Project resource pool file.

2) Synchronize with Microsoft Project file.

Select an existing Microsoft Project resource pool file to integrate with.

Use the Browse button to open the Microsoft Project resource pool file. A dialog box will pop-up. In the Look in box, use Network Neighborhood or My Network Places to find your file.

You should choose a UNC path to the MPP file. This will allow other users of Tracker Leader to access the file from their workstations. UNC (Universal Naming Convention) example:

\\server\d\resource.mpp

Enter the Project Server to your Microsoft Project Server.

Enter the Database to your Microsoft Project Server database.

Choose the method of authentication:

1) Use Windows Authentication: If you check Use trusted login based on your Windows user, you do not need enter the User Name and Password for the User Name and Password are your Windows User Name and Password.

2) Use Microsoft Project Server Authentication: If you don't check Use trusted login based on your Windows user, you should enter the User Name and Password.

If you don't check Use trusted login based on your Windows user, you need enter the User Name and Password that are your Microsoft Project Server User Name and Password.

Synchronize Microsoft Project Server Database.

1) Choose the Project name.

2) Synchronize the resource pool.

3) Synchronize the Projects and assignments.

4) Send approved time entries to Microsoft Project.
